I think the story of The Pentagon Papers is a story that is timeless. Whether 4 years, 40 years or 80 years later The Pentagon Papers remind all of us of the necessity of accountability, the importance of transparency and the story of courage.
I didn’t learn the story of Daniel Ellsberg until I was in college. But it is a story that every child should know. So now, 40 years later the importance of the Pentagon Papers is urgent when it comes to educating the next generation about the lessons of accountability and courage.
