An Echo In The Valley

My brother, David, was a Vietnam Vet, he came home a quiet man, never talked about his experience as an Army soldier until he came home from Saudi Arabia, a man with heart to persevere all; he was a dedicated Army soldier, one who was only… a couple of months to military retirement. He was ill. Fighting a war was one thing, fighting for his life another. Finally he shared his cancer may have been due to Agent Orange; finally he shared his Vietnam story, but only in part; his Vietnam experience was his to keep. He fought his illness to the end and declared he gave his life for his country. However one’s Vietnam story is told, it is meaningful 40 and more into the future years later.

…and loss remains in profound memory and the story is at the following website:. http://missymousemeetsthom?elf.com/an-echo-throughout?-the-valley_286.html

Thank you for sharing part of your brother’s story. Indeed, the more stories we hear from those who experience war, any part of it, the more difficult we make it for war-mongers to convince those who don’t know war that war is heroic, noble, and justified. We have a very long way to go, but people like you help us get there.
