The truth comes out.

I was riveted while watching The Most Dangerous Man in America, because like most of society, I wasn’t really aware of the full picture as to our involvement in Vietnam, the whys and the hows and especially the what? I recently became aware that American GI’s fathers something close to 40,000 children with Vietnamese women from 1950 – 1975, and those Amerasian children were often abandoned by their fathers and suffered severe discrimination from the Vietnamese government and people. The Amerasian Immigration Act and subsequent Amerasian Homecoming Act were both started in the 1980’s as a way to immigrate those Amerasian children to the U.S. But as of the mid-90’s the act hasn’t been used much at all because of fraudulent claims. If only our government could get it together and help the more than 100,000 Amerasians living in Southeast Asia find a better life here in the U.S. And to make matters worse, 50,000 Amerasians are living in the Philippines with no hope because the Amerasian Acts don’t recognize them because their mothers were mostly illegal sex workers. Please watch the film “Left By the Ship” and sign the petition to bring home the Amerasians.
